TripJoiner

How it works

How to compare scheduled group trips on TripJoiner and how paying your organizer works.

Comparing trips

Comparing group trips usually means juggling PDFs, spreadsheets and half-remembered saves. TripJoiner brings scheduled departures together in one place, so you can filter by what actually matters: dates, destination, trip type and organizer.

Every listing is tied to real dates. Start with the dates you can travel, then narrow by place and style. Browse trips on the map when you think geographically, or filter by type when style matters more than the map.

  • Trip Finder: guided narrowing by dates and interests.
  • Browse trips: scan departures on the map by region.
  • Destinations: start from a place when the country is decided.
  • Organizers: compare the people running similar routes.

Compare the same questions

Save two or three finalists with the heart and ask each one the same questions: what is included, rooming, and cancellation terms. It is quicker than chasing endless tabs.

The Travel Journal covers the deeper questions a listing should not repeat, like what a safari costs or what to pack for a family trip.

Joining a trip

When you find a departure you like, send the organizer a request to join from the trip page. You can follow every request in My requests and message the organizer about anything still open, such as rooming or itinerary questions.

The organizer decides whether to accept. Once they do, they share how to pay and what comes next.

Paying your organizer

Booking a group trip should end with clarity: what you owe, when it is due and who receives it.

On TripJoiner, travelers pay organizers directly, using whatever method you and the organizer arrange. TripJoiner does not collect, hold, refund or pay out trip money.

  1. Find a trip with real dates using Browse or Trip Finder.
  2. Review what is included, the cancellation terms and the organizer's payment details.
  3. Ask the organizer anything still open before you pay.
  4. Pay the organizer as you agreed and keep your confirmation details.

Compare before you pay

Two similar trips may differ in when payment is due. A later balance date can matter for your budget, so factor it into your comparison.

When you mark that you paid, or the organizer confirms they received it, your booking records that step. It is a record between you and the organizer, not proof that TripJoiner received or moved the money. Use organizer profiles and reviews, and be careful with any payment request that differs from the terms the organizer published.
